Pictures for the Human Rights e. V.
Pictures for the Human Rights e. V. is a non-profit association founded by artists and art supporters to raise awareness of the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948.
We wish for more dignity and respect in our dealings with each other. This concerns individuals and groups as well as nations and cultural circles. With the universally understandable language of art we want to reach and touch people all over the world. We raise our voices for human dignity and our inalienable human rights as the basis of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
Our exhibition - in the squares of the world
Thirty artists from different countries create a picture of one of the thirty articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will then show this exhibition internationally at various locations. The Council of Europe in Strasbourg will probably be the first to do so. The exhibition will then tour the world - cooperation with NGOs and the Federal Foreign Office is planned. Not only museum visitors will be able to see our exhibition, but everyone on the street: we will print duplicates of the works of art on tarpaulins the size of building fences and show them in this public form in the squares of the world. The texts of the articles are attached to this installation in the original and in the respective national language for reading and taking away. We want to make the images for human rights visible to the general public quickly and cheaply. Construction fences are everywhere. We use them for the presentation in order to bring human rights clearly back into consciousness.
Come to us - your support arrives.
The association Pictures for the Human Rights e. V. needs supporters.
Whether as an artist, member, sponsor, partner or with a one-time donation, you can help us to strengthen human rights and thus the dignity in dealing with each other.
More than seventy years ago, mankind came together to formulate rules for a good community. We are focusing again on these thirty articles.
If they are considered everywhere and by everyone, no one will have to defend themselves against oppression.
Join us - a better world is also more livable for you.
